Outstanding Tiny Desk original: find the source
For outstanding tiny desk original, distinguish the song recording, Charlie Wilson's live Tiny Desk concert and a later meme upload. They are different sources. NPR Music's Charlie Wilson video is the direct place to check the real concert that includes Outstanding.
Example made from AI-generated photosFind the concert rather than a repost
Open the official NPR Music video titled Charlie Wilson: Tiny Desk Concert. The artist's own website also links to the performance and names The Gap Band's Outstanding in the set. These sources help you avoid a cropped repost whose caption replaces the original credits.
The song and the live version
A studio recording and a live performance of the same song can differ in arrangement, timing, audience response and spoken phrases. Matching the title alone does not identify the exact audio in a meme. Compare the passage you hear with the official concert before claiming a clip uses that live recording.
An original meme needs its own evidence
Finding the underlying performance does not identify the first person who made a particular AI edit. Reposts, compilations and changing captions make that harder. This page does not assign a first creator or a viral view count without a verifiable original upload and supporting evidence.
Keep the sources separate when sharing
Link the artist or NPR for the concert and identify the creator of a later edit separately where known. Do not present a new cast as real attendees. The related Charlie Wilson page covers the performance; the AI meme page explains the recasting format, and the homepage offers an independent photo editor.
