The Outstanding Tiny Desk meme, explained
A familiar performance becomes a playful new scene when a different person takes the lead.
Example made from AI-generated photosWhere the trend begins
The format draws on a desk concert and the song “Outstanding”. Creators use AI to imagine friends, players and coaches in the performance.
Why people share it
The contrast between a serious subject and an upbeat band makes the format easy to recognize. An obvious parody helps viewers understand that the performance is fictional.
